On June 7th, 2021, Allen and Laurissa took investigated one of the most haunted locations in all northeastern Pennsylvania, Andy Gavin’s Pub and Eatery. Located in Scranton, this pub, (frequented by locals looking for piping hot bar fare and a friendly scare by the infamous ghost George), sits on a foundation built in the 1800s. Although the building holds two hundred plus years of tumultuous history there is little written to attest to anything about it or the surrounding area. Despite this, Laurissa’s readings were incredibly detailed. In fact, she was unable to avoid entities in any area of the building.
During the investigation Laurissa detected so many spirits that she remained anxious the entire investigation claiming this was one of the most frightening places she had ever been. Suffice it to say the entities in this establishment are not maleficent at all; in fact, they are quite friendly. However, their presence is apparent, intense, and overpowering at times. In fact, as Allen and Laurissa entered Andy’s a man greeted them resembling Dog the Bounty Hunter. As he raised a pint in the air as a welcoming gesture Laurissa realized after closer inspection the man was a ghost, which shocked even her, a seasoned medium! Later, during the dinner hour, Laurissa discovered the man was the father of a patron and he died a few years earlier. During the investigation hours later that very same man said a few words during a live Facebook feed to his daughter who was watching. We met another man who died in the 1980s after a heavy night of drinking. He even described the accident over the phasma box. Interestingly, even though the building dates to the 1800s the pub was established in 1988 so the 1980’s death of a man from a drunk driving incident seems more likely than not. The man, who claimed his name was Joe, said he had a message for his brother Paul and to tell him that he was still with him. We also met Teresa and Nathaniel who thought it to be the year 1922. Then there was a woman who resembled Gina Davis in Beetlejuice. In fact, the only ghost we did not encountered was the infamous George. Finally, we have the resonating echoes of underground railroad train whistles and horns on EVP. One cannot forget the creepy sounds of the slamming doors and falling objects while we investigated the empty building as well.
In conclusion our investigation did not disappoint. We can say with conviction that this pub and eatery has cold spots to match the cold brews. George may have eluded us, but his ghostly friends are not as elusive and were ever-present on that evening. HSPP can attest to strange activity and good eats lending prudence to at least those two things Andy is known for. Hopefully, the new names and speculations will spark conversation and even research so that we can piece together whatever happened to the other two hundred years of history that has been marinating like secret ingredients in Andy’s very own crock pot!

The following photos were taken via digital, infrared and thermal imaging.
The picture above were taken in sequence. There appears to be an anomaly at the base of the steps.
The photo to the left depicts an orb at the very table Laurissa had detected a male presence who had died only a few months prior to this investigation. Laurissa described the man exactly as he was in life and toasting a beer in the air to her which he was known to do.
These thermal images were taken in the basement of the pub where Laurissa sensed the presence of small children. Cold spots are often depicted in blue and heat signatures in red. There appears to be silhouettes depicted in all photos present here. There are arrows etched into the photos to help point out the anommalies.
